The Model-C2 cage works the same as our Model-A cage which is open top and requires a disposable bottom. It's 2x1 feet for a single guinea pig, making it suitable for new owners starting with a single guinea pig and planning to expand later.
It can be easily extended using DIY panels and brackets to create a larger or multi-level cage. Alternatively, connect multiple Model-C2 cages with our cage connectors to form a spacious exploration area for your guinea pigs. The Model-C2 cage is also perfect for situations where a single guinea pig bullies others, is being bullied, or needs isolation due to health conditions like pregnancy. You can place the guinea pig requiring separation into a Model-C2 cage and connect it to your main Model-A cage using a GuineaLoft cage connector, available from our Amazon store. The connector features a door that blocks access while still allowing the isolated guinea pig to sense the presence of the herd.
The Model-C2 cage comes with a free disposable bottom for easy cleaning. Additional disposable bottoms can be ordered from our Amazon store. If you prefer not to use disposable bottoms, check out our Model-P3 cages available from our Amazon store that come with permanent acrylic bottoms and are suitable for guinea pigs.
The Model-C2 cage is NOT suitable for small animals like hamsters, rats, mice, or gerbils, which are prone to chewing, climbing, and escaping. For these pets, the Model-P3 cage is the ideal choice.
